A picture of a Blue Moon rose growing in our garden in the North-East of England. Captured with my Canon PowerShot S3 IS camera, Macro mode. The colour of the rose depends on how the light falls on it. It is very difficult to photograph well (a step ladder job!) and does not thrive well in our cool, damp climate, so there were two challenges to overcome, but the exquisite perfume makes it all worthwhile!

Beautiful ! I am sure I mentioned when we first “met” that Blue Moon was one of my Mother’s favourites.

  • Thank you, Trish. Your Mother had exquisite taste! My own Mother favoured red roses.

    Such a beautiful picture

  • Thank you, Malcolm. It is my new Flickr avatar. I have changed my name over there to kathjones100 to match my WS ID and harmonize better with the Webshots Community on Flickr. Disgraceful the way we were presented with the changeover to Smile! What an inappropriate name! They should have called it “Tears”.
