My life is divided between teaching Music and Photography. The instruments I play are organ, piano, clarinet and saxophone. I taught German and Spanish before my retirement, but since I got my digital camera no longer have time for them!

Any way you can get a closer image of leaves? At a glance I’d wanted to say a type of Sedum or Stonecrop….but……………and…er….your idea of copper looks like my idea of purple? Copper to me is more of a gold/orange in color…but this looks more like purple/red to me. Not sure if I’m looking at the same way you are. :o(
Thank you, Carla. This picture was taken in strong sunlight on an afternoon early in June. The camera’s settings were at default. I have noticed a difference in the way colours are displayed (warm or cool) in different camera and on different monitors. Comparing my desktop computer monitor with my husband’s and with my laptop, I find that colours display truer on my desktop computer screen than on the other two. It often makes me wonder what other people are seeing – or not seeing – on their screens! We can only work with web safe colours in photo editing programmes and the way colours mix with light and with inks is also different. Even in real life, the colours of nature appear different according to the light. I think that these leaves might have displayed differently in other light conditions, so you could well be right. One thing is certain… They were definitely not green! From now on, I’ll pay more attention, when actually taking the shots. Thank you for your help. A very happy Easter to you!
