A traditional English Christmas delicacy made from raisins, currants and spices. My husband has made them with puff pastry and with lids, but my own preference is to serve them open and cover the sweet mince with Royal icing from the Christmas cake. Delicious served hot or cold with piping hot custard sauce or vanilla ice cream. The only problem with the Royal icing is that you cannot then reheat them.
