I used a winter sunset visible from our home in the North-East of England, as a background for this picture, which I have modified digitally.
I have superimposed the text of a beautiful traditional hymn, which has long been one of my favourites, over the picture. I hope that you will find the words inspiring. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a suitable music video, but will embed the link, if I do.
When singing the hymn, the second line of each verse is repeated, but I have not put the repeats in the picture, or it would have given it a cluttered appearance.
Words:William W. Phelps (1792 -1872)
Music: William B. Bradbury (1816-1868)
Supporting Scripture: Luke, 9: 23
“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
