The headjoint and some of the keywork of a silver flute with a gold embouchure plate, which gives the instrument a slightly warmer tone. The flute was made by Alistair Hanson, whose premises are located at Marsden, Yorkshire, England.* Captured with my Canon PowerShot S3 IS camera.
Enjoy the peerless playing of Sir James Galway on a combination of his famous golden flute and Irish whistle in “The Lord of the Rings” at the Chrystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California, May 2006
