A “Dark Spirit” dahlia growing in our garden in the North-East of England. These delightful deep crimson dahlias have the advantage of not needing huge amounts of sunshine, so grow well in relatively shady areas of the garden.

A beautiful shot Kathryn. I guess this would be an ideal flower to be grown in your part of the world as you don’t get as mush sun as we do.

  • Thank you, Ralph. I think that you are right and that it would not be too happy with the abundance of Aussie sunshine! Sorry to be so long in getting back to you. I don’t know how I managed to miss your comment.
