Captured in a museum in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, a basket of peat from the Stone Age using my Canon PowerShot S3 IS camera. Flash fired.

My life is divided between teaching Music and Photography. The instruments I play are organ, piano, clarinet and saxophone. I taught German and Spanish before my retirement, but since I got my digital camera no longer have time for them!

  • Thank you so much for this lovely feature, Kala. I took the shot the year we had that dreadful freak weather and hardly dared venture out of doors in the Western Isles, as the winds were so strong that the rain was practically horizontal. I certainly had plenty of time to acquaint myself with Hebridean History! Never got anywhere near a beach that year! Hoping for better weather, when we return there in May.
