A Humble Flower
Please, I’m just a little pansy,
Red and black, but nothing fancy.
If you plant me in the shade,
Then my colours will surely fade.
How I love the morning dew!
Sunbeams dancing round me too!
Rain and sun make flowers grow,
Help us make a pretty show.
Even when the autumn breeze,
Shakes the foliage from the trees,
I’ll stay with you till frost and snow
Conspire together to lay me low.
Captured with my Canon PowerShot S3 IS camera in Macro mode, a crimson and black pansy growing in our garden in the North-East of England.
The poem was inspired by this pansy, which appeared in a collage that I made previously:- http://www.redbubble.com/people/bluemoonrose/wo...
