In the linked video Mormon Tabernacle principal organist Richard Elliott performs his own arrangement of the hymn “Nearer, My God to Thee” on the Tabernacle organ.
The upper (Swell) and lower (Great) manuals and the rows of stops on the Digital Content organ in our local church. I have been playing this organ since 1990 and it has become part of my life.. The title is slightly misleading, as with this organ you push the stop down to switch it on and push it up to switch it off. A light emitting diode comes on when it is switched on to help the organist remember which stops are on and which are off.
Location:- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Temple Park Road,
South Shields, Tyne and Wear, England.

My life is divided between teaching Music and Photography. The instruments I play are organ, piano, clarinet and saxophone. I taught German and Spanish before my retirement, but since I got my digital camera no longer have time for them!

Beautiful shot Kathryn and it was on the front page of R/B when I opened this morning as pictures I might like to see. Glad I did for I think it is beautiful. a fave too… Shirley

  • Thank you so much, Shirley. I had no idea that it was on the Home Page. I just use my Bookmarks in Firefox to save time and go straight to my Profile page, as I visit RB several times a day. This has certain advantages and certain disadvantages.
