Cedar Fever by

A cedar tree near San Marcos, TX releases a huge cloud of pollen. This is a scary sight if you’re allergic.

Whoa, what a great capture, wow. Did the wind cause this?

Oh my goodness, I’ve never seen such a thing! I’d also love to know if this is caused by the wind, or a spontaneous type of thing? Very cool.

Thank you all for the comments. It was caused by the wind. This was the first sunny day after a few days of rain and apparently the pollen had built up. I first noticed it when I saw what I thought was smoke blowing by the window in my office. In fact, my whole neighborhood looked like it was on fire. Thankfully I’m not allergic to the stuff.

    Neat capture!
Reminds me of when I lived in Tahoe, we had tons of yellow pollen all over everything from all the PInes up there!
