Andy, I hope more people ‘cotton’ to what you’ve done here; and how difficult it is to actually pull off. I would love to know how long you left the shutter open for this. This is ethereal and looks like it belongs in a fantasy book, like ‘Lord of the Rings.’ This is really superb work, my friend; and I do appreciate the hard work that went into this image! Cheers! This is absolutely brilliant, the colour and light are perfect.

Thank you for the comments, Chris, this is a 30 second exposure. I used a Maglite, which I like because it’s compact but very powerful. For those unfamiliar with this technique, you move the beam around to illuminate the scene, pausing longer on the areas you want to highlight more. The really hard part was maneuvering around the rocks and rushing water in the dark without falling in and drenching the camera. :-)
