The impressive Picton Railway Viaduct is a stone viaduct which opened in 1863 to cross Stonequarry Creek. The viaduct is still in use by the railways.
Constructed from sandstone, it is the oldest stone arch railway bridge in New South Wales and is associated with John Whitton, the ‘father of New South Wales Railways’.
Large casuarina trees grow beside the tranquil creek.
