I couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry for the old guy – left behind on the far paddock, away from the family who once loved him.

This old rusty car (a Buick, I think) has lost some of his bits and pieces, and even has plants and trees growing in him.

May he Rest In Peace (and in pieces).

Captured near Bilpin, NSW, Australia.

Canon G12, as is.

I live in Australia and enjoy bushwalking in the great outdoors, especially the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park.

My photographic interests are pretty much related to Australian landscapes, rustic Australia, historic Australia, Australian wildlife, flora, fauna, birds, etc. Guess I love the country I was born and live in.

It seems you guys, have lots of these old ‘pieces’ in your countryside !
We used to have many of them a few years back but now they all have evaporated….
Love this nostalgic capture of a once strong machine and the description that goes with it, Michael

  • Yes, it is great to see them when driving out in the country. Thanks Corinne.
