Purple Haze by Michael John

These unusual purple flowering plants are known as fairy aprons.

Fairy aprons (Utricularia dichotoma), a perennial species of terrestrial bladderwort, grow in damp soil, swamps and marshes.

Dedicated to all those who can remember this song from the ‘60s/’70s and can relate to the title…..

Captured in NSW, Australia.

Canon G12, as is.

I live in Australia and enjoy bushwalking in the great outdoors, especially the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park.

My photographic interests are pretty much related to Australian landscapes, rustic Australia, historic Australia, Australian wildlife, flora, fauna, birds, etc. Guess I love the country I was born and live in.
