This is a photo of the unique Sydney Opera House showing each sail lit with a different colour. These colours are reflected in the water below.
It was captured during the ‘Lighting the Sails’ Vision Spectacular, being lit with specially coloured lights.
The Sydney Opera House is a performing arts centre. It was conceived and largely built by Danish architect Jørn Utzon in 1973. Utzon received the Pritzker Prize, architecture’s highest honour, in 2003.
The Sydney Opera House was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007. It is one of the 20th century’s most distinctive buildings and one of the most famous performing arts centres in the world.
