Russell Falls, with its triple-tier cascade, is the most spectacular waterfall in Tasmania.
Unlike many waterfall photos which show ‘silky water’ due to long exposures, this image depicts the falls and cascading water in its natural, unaltered state.
The Falls were first named Browning Falls but were known as the Russell Falls after 1884, by which time they were already a popular tourist attraction.
