Aoraki / Mount Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand, reaching a height of 3,754 metres. It lies in the Southern Alps, the mountain range which runs the length of the South Island. It is popular tourist destination and a favourite challenge for mountain climbers.

I live in Australia and enjoy bushwalking in the great outdoors, especially the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park.

My photographic interests are pretty much related to Australian landscapes, rustic Australia, historic Australia, Australian wildlife, flora, fauna, birds, etc. Guess I love the country I was born and live in.

Nice shot Mike. I’ll get over there one day to see the great sights. Just watching the earthquake news & feeling sorry for our Kiwi cousins.
