Grose Valley Cliffs by Michael John
Sheer sandstone cliffs standing hundreds of metres above the river, make for spectacular scenery in the Grose Valley, viewed from Baltzer Lookout.
In the foreground, Flannel flowers cling to the cliff’s edge.
Charles Darwin described the Grose Valley as “stupendous … magnificent” when he visited in 1836.
The Grose Valley is a rugged valley in the Blue Mountains. It has been formed by the Grose River, the headwaters of which are in the Mount Victoria area.

I had many photos of the last time I went to the Blue Mountains. My previous computer ate them… :/ I long to go back there. :) Until then, I’ll just have to keep calling by here. :)
