This amazing spring-flowering bottlebrush is bright pink, with edges of yellow pollen-filled anthers.

I believe that it is Callistemon salignus (Willow Bottlebrush), an endemic Australian shrub or tree in the family Myrtaceae family.

The flowers of this species are normally white or green – the pink coloured variety is rare.

This plant grows in New South Wales, Australia.

Canon 400D.

I live in Australia and enjoy bushwalking in the great outdoors, especially the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park.

My photographic interests are pretty much related to Australian landscapes, rustic Australia, historic Australia, Australian wildlife, flora, fauna, birds, etc. Guess I love the country I was born and live in.
