A blurred car can be seen driving through this unusual tubular blue arch.
This is Macquarie Arch, made from pieces of thick electrical conduit, painted with white plastic paint and resting on sandstone plinths.
Its blue glow represents the Blue Mountains as well as the Scottish heritage of Governor Lachlan Macquarie.
The arch, opposite Hyde Park and spanning Macquarie Street, was part of the 2010 Macquarie Visions Vivid Festival in Sydney, Australia.
Canon 400D, as is.

I live in Australia and enjoy bushwalking in the great outdoors, especially the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park.
My photographic interests are pretty much related to Australian landscapes, rustic Australia, historic Australia, Australian wildlife, flora, fauna, birds, etc. Guess I love the country I was born and live in.

Nice blues & curving patterns there Mike. I remember this well but didn’t get a good shot of it.
Thanks Michael. Being such an unusual shape, it was difficult to get a good shot.
