It was an overcast, rainy day on Milford Sound. Then there was a small break in the clouds and these amazing rays of sunlight shone through.

Milford Sound (Piopiotahi in Māori) is a fjord in the south west of New Zealand’s South Island, within Fiordland National Park and the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site.

Canon 400D.

I live in Australia and enjoy bushwalking in the great outdoors, especially the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park.

My photographic interests are pretty much related to Australian landscapes, rustic Australia, historic Australia, Australian wildlife, flora, fauna, birds, etc. Guess I love the country I was born and live in.

Great shot Michael. Love that small patch of blue in the sky amongst all the dark clouds. Did you come back from New Zealand recently as well?
