Dusk Hues over the Flinders Ranges by

Flinders Ranges is the largest mountain range in South Australia and is incorporated into Flinders Ranges National Park.

A lone tree stands in the foreground on an arid plain below the range.

As the sun was setting in the west, this photo was taken looking east over the ranges.

The sky was displaying wonderful changing hues of blue, indigo, violet and pink. This phenomenon is known as The Belt of Venus or Venus’s Girdle. It is the name for an atmospheric phenomenon seen at sunrise and sunset.

Flinders Ranges National Park, South Australia.

Mamiya ZM film.

I live in Australia and enjoy bushwalking in the great outdoors, especially the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park.

My photographic interests are pretty much related to Australian landscapes, rustic Australia, historic Australia, Australian wildlife, flora, fauna, birds, etc. Guess I love the country I was born and live in.
