This was the view outside my room when I stayed in Paris, I love the decay on the facade, the way the paint peels away from the brickwork, the red hue of the rust

I love that you love rusty flaky old buildings! I hate it when people whinge about such beautiful textures! Its all about the way you see things… isnt it?

  • I really do love flaky old buildings, I think because i don’t see the decay so much as think about the life of the building, what’s happened there, who was there etc…I spent a few years as a heritage architect and really got to appreciate the history of a place not how pretty joe public thought it was so i guess that’s were it comes from. Thanks for such a great comment Nita

    YOU CAN PERFECT IT

  • I recently acquired a new monitor and found that most, if not all, my pics posted were washed out so I have been altering some of my old pics (including this one) to what I wanted them to look like in the first place, let me know what you think Caroline….

  • Thanks Steve, I personally like this but I don’t really know why, I think maybe I love buildings with a history, a back story
