Help!

I know this is going to sound dumb but I need some help in PS. This is what I want to do: cut out an object and place it in a white back ground. Can anybody help me?! Thanks so much. Robin

Robin, this is what you do on photoshop when you want to put something a white background. first get the photo or picture you want. open it up. then chose new make sure the background is transparent. go back to the image . hit control and letter a the sametime. then go to edit to copy the image. then the new background go back to edit and past. the new background can also be white.than play around withe the sizing you want. i hope that helps. there also a group that you can join photoshop if you have any more questions they are real nice about it.
