polaroid photography

so i spent some time on RB today, checked some work ( very nice and some i have to say not all that )..but for the most part i love the work here..
i just uploaded some images, and most of them are for the book project and not for prints or cards. i do have some beautiful still life and flowers that would look great as framed prints and cards. i take a lot of polaroids using sx-70 and slr680se( both of them are slr’s) and time zero film that’s not made anymore..
but the colors are a dream..in my humble opinion….
anyway, I was wondering what do artists here think about polaroid photography
in general, in this digital age i still prefer film and alternative process..and retro..i miss that

I don’t know how the rest of ‘em feel, but I’m a film girl myself. Got to love just plain old light hitting the surface and reacting. Love alternative processing too. Glad to see someone else here, with similar interests. Digital manipulation seems to be very popular on this site, and although there are some people who are very good at it, I don’t care for it as much. Just doesn’t have the same gut, to me. Just…MY humble opinion…

PS – Forgot to talk about Polaroid. I haven’t shot polaroid for a while (although I have one), but I have a certain love for the way it looks. Such softness. I love it when I see other artist’s using this. It’s not easy to do it well, and I appreciate being impressed with the outcome.

Hey, Kerry! glad you share my vision and understand where i’m coming from..AND like polaroids!
i don’t know, but i’m just attached to film too much to let go..and i try to shoot digital (bores me, and you’re right it is very popular on this site) and i can manipulate very well in photoshop, but i’d rather get out and look for something then sit in front of the computer for hours and hours..
thank you for the comments :)
