Reflected Thoughts

What is it like to leave, to go away not come back. I probably think about it way too much, I used to want to go so badly, more for the sake of it than anything else. Right now though, I have reason to stick around.
I touched a leaver on this morning, the feeling didn’t linger the way it did the other day, It was cold, I expected the warmth like i am used to, the feeling of acceptance of my touch being absorbed into the skin. At least he had his hat with him as he was on his way, its alright, it meant something to us to see it go with him, the smiles formed beneath the tears dispersing them at least for a little while.
One foot in front of the other we carried an empty box a moment after the last glances of the dust trails left behind.
Where did you go? i can only wonder, you say you’ll be there on that day you spoke, but will you really? or is it just a pleasant thought that can be believed to be true, I’ll smile for you.

Daniel, I’m new to your art introduced to me from a friend (Barbara) but I must say I find myself hard pressed to remember anything I have seen that is as powerful as what you produce, I love this, it’s genius, love the reflection, amazing work

You had better be sticking around Mr Barrie. This is awesome, so creative – you always portray such emotion in your images.

  • Daniel Angeles replied

Fantastic image Daniel with lots of obvious thought and emotion behind it.
I love the darkness, big negative space and the second face in the background is perfectly placed.
    Really well done.

I’m a big fan of negative space shots as is, but this takes it to a whole other level mate. I love the image in the darkness, just visible and only part of, compared to the whole in the light. Like a haunting reminder, or a ticket to return at your own will. Really like the dark suited clothing in the lit area, very powerful to me.
