Jerangle is situated about 65km north-east of Cooma, and is the northernmost and most isolated village in the Cooma-Monaro Council district. From Cooma, Jerangle is accessed via Bredbo or via Numeralla and Peak View. The road from Bredbo is unsealed, as is the road from Numeralla.
