Man’s best friend is a catchphrase for dogs. The popularization of the term is said to have occurred in a courtroom speech by George Graham Vest in Warrensburg, Missouri in 1870 who said, “The one absolutely unselfish friend that a man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him and the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous is his dog.”

just brilliant, I saw dozens all over Australia, on our trip the last 3 years…. but can’t stop to take any photos pulling a caravan , this has to be the best though…

  • Thank you so much Gini! What a shame you couldn’t stop! We intend getting another caravan to do some more touring very soon! :o)

Hi We bought an off road van Kedron [ 5 years old 3 years ago ,2nd hand but perfect ]. so it can just head off into the scrub, no problem, if we see something to photraph! robelm with leter boxes most seem to be too much near the road and lots of time there are roadtrains , more caravans , cars , following. not easy to screech to a stop. I did get some [I think] . ;-))))

  • We also had an off-road – Infinity Gazal – I believe cousin of the Kedron. Great van! Took us to Cape York. Those road-trains can be nasty – one nearly took us out on our Cape York trip. We’re so looking forward to the freedom of traveling again! :o)
