Carcassonne in Bronze – France

Layered and Textured in Photoshop

A monument to the memory of the Jean-Pierre Cros-Mayrevieille takes pride of place in the courtyard. Around this monument is a scaled copy of the town of Carcassonne in bronze.

The mayor of Carcassonne, Jean-Pierre Cros-Mayrevieille, and the writer Prosper Merimee, led a campaign to preserve the fortress as an historical monument.

Carcassonne is UNESCO World Heritage
