Sunlit Trees – Tarn Hows

Featured in Britain’s Nature

Autumn and all the leaves have disappeared.
I love the way the coating of green is highlighted by the sun.

Lakes District National Park, Cumbria, England.

Tarn Hows is managed by the National Trust.

This is a great shot Marilyn. The sun lighting up the trees and giving that extra green colour to the grassy area is just amazing.

  • Thanks so much John. There at the right time, right place! :o)

That’s a lovely capture Marilyn with great lighting. My 6th great Aunt Elizabeth Mossocke
(old spelling) was born at How’s Farm in 1671 but died at the age of 12.

  • Wow! How sad to die at such a young age. Thanks Roy! :o)
