Came across Jarnac quite by accident, when we were desperately looking for a place to camp. We spent a whole day walking around this very quaint town! Sometimes the best experiences are those that are totally unexpected!
Jarnac is situated on the river Charente between the towns of Angoulême and Cognac, France.
It is home to Courvoisier and it was the birthplace of former French President François Mitterrand (26 October 1916 – 8 January 1996).
