Male Eclectus Parrot (Eclectus roratus)
The male looks his best when in flight or displaying his underwings and flanks.
Found usually in rainforests, but ventures into adjoining eucalypt woodland to reach other areas of rainforest.
Small flocks roost in tall rainforest trees. In the morning, small groups, noisly move out to feed on big fruiting trees.

Hi Marilyn.. we have a similar greet parot in Puerto Rico, endemic, unfortunately our puertorrican parot is considered an endangered species. this is a vry nice shot of parot.
