The male looks his best when in flight or displaying his underwings and flanks. Found usually in rainforests, but ventures into adjoining eucalypt woodland to reach other areas of rainforest. Small flocks roost in tall rainforest trees. In the morning, small groups, noisly move out to feed on big fruiting trees.
What a character this guy was – makes me smile just to look at him!
