Wreck of the William Pitt, the old dredger that provides a breakwater for the Canoe Bay anchorage in the NW corner of Fortescue Bay.

WILLIAM PITT was on voyage from Tasmania when she was lost off Canoe Bay, Tasman Peninsula.

WILLIAM PITT: 192 tons; Owned by Transport Commission; Built at C. H. Walker & Co. in 1904.
