Losing Control

this also was written as i was having an emotional breakdown after watching My Sister’s Keeper (which might i say is an excellent tear-jerker…simply beautiful!)...
it’s about this sort of mask i guess i call it…
i guess the easiest way to sum it up in 6 words is: laugh now, cry later, keep control…
pretty much how i’ve lived life…

watching a movie
the tear-jerking kind
you hear everyone else sniffling
but no tears do drip from your stony eyes
but the wetness is there
welling up from deep within
threatening to overflow
you push it back down
must keep that mask on straight and tight
their pushing and pulling
it’s making you weary
testing the solidity of this mask
finally alone
you break down
too much
your once solid walls
they all crumble without a sound
without a warning
without a fight at all
your agony washes over you
like the repetitive tides of the deep blue
your eyes turn into rivers
then into agonizingly beautiful waterfalls
that wash away into a desperate oblivion
your sadness takes over
in the dark seclusion
your losing control
