Interesting, camels in Australia who would think that, at first I thought this was the middle east by it’s looks. What a lovely capture.
Thanks Mary, camels were imported into central & western parts of Australia in the 19th century to be used as transport in the outback. Unfortunately many were set free and there is now a large feral camel population in the desert. At Broome, however, they have become an iconic tourist attraction where every evening during the dry season, several teams of camels are led down Cable beach. They are a delightful photographic opportunity!
