In 2002, I suffered from a brain bug that left me with memory and planning problems amongst others that interfered with my daily life in a huge way. At that time I was told I was unemployable! So, if no-one would employ me, I started my own business working in the IT industry. I made a decent living, I am no Richard Branson, but I did ok and managed to provide for those I love. Then in 2010 I had another neurological issue that left me partially sighted for nearly a year as well as movement problems too. I know, I know this sounds like a begging letter or an ego trip but I promise it couldn’t be further from the truth, please keep reading!

My eye sight is now returning although it can be limited and I get tired easily. So, I decided to do what most people in my situation would do and take up a hobby that would challenge this problem, yep, Photography.

That’s also the reason why I am calling the project ‘Blind Luck’.

I am an amateur, I am in no way a professional, and in fact I would probably assume it is safe to say I am probably quite a rubbish amateur as well. That doesn’t stop me wanting to take photographs though and my main passion right now is people, life and urban places.

So if you would like to be photographed, if you’re a single person, a uni or college class, a senior citizen bowls club or anything else, please let me know and I will do my best to get to you when I can.

The reason? It’s really simple, to help me learn how to take a better photograph and for you to have a photograph taken. I can’t even guarantee it’s going to be a good image, but maybe that could be the defining factor of this project!
