Any eye of a sleeping Red-Eyed Tree Frog. The eyelid looks like a post-Art Deco stained glass; my assumption is that the amphibian still is able to see approaching danger while resting, and at the same time disguises the conspicuous black pupil.

When Red-Eyed wakes up, the eyes pop up like those lights on sport carts – I have to try and make a series of shots showing the proces

    Really fabulous image..gotta love them frogs! We (NT) have the green tree frog and of course now the cane-toad but this fellow is just sublime!
