DELIRIUM II
It’s a rather abstract composition made of Mexican Red Knee Tarantula and a macaque’s skull.
Now, the tarantula needs no introduction, it’s an arachnophiles’ classic. The skull on the other hand is pretty interesting – it comes from Borneo, the Kalimantan province, and it is difficult to tell how old it is. The carvings are not really typical for the Dayak people, and they bear a mark of unique craftsmanship.
I guess it would make a rather spectacular large print – up to 55×82 cm at 150 DPI.
The image is a composite of two (I have only one spider…), taken with Canon EOS 5D, Canon 100mm/2.8 Macro USM.
