Purple Pleasure by Blended

acrylic and watercolor on Strathmore

Here the lilacs are all abloom and it is one of my favorite flowers so I just could not resist snapping a photo and painting it!

I did both negative and positive painting as well as blending, pouring wet into wet and also dry brushing plus sponge painting on this one.

I’ve no idea what negative painting is but this is beautiful.
Thank you Angel. Negative painting is painting the outside of the leaves for example, instead of painting inside the leaf shape.
