Jedd came home he was ready to eat,
hed just spotted some men working in the street.
They were drilling holes into the ground ,
what they were looking for could not be found.
Jedd smelt something in the air ,
didnt know what it was , didnt care.
Hed smelt the smell most of the week,
didnt think that it could be a gas leak.
Jedd sat down to watch the telly,
the air around him was so smelly.
Soon there came a knock at the door ,
jedd got up but his head was sore.
As the music channel blasted out its tunes ,
he never thoght his bad head was caused by fumes.
The man said , Im from the gas board weve got a leak ,
is the smell in your house stromg or weak.
he got out his machine to test the air,
told jedd to open his windows everywhere.
Turn off your tely and turn off the light ,
We’ll have it mended by tonight.
So Jedd did everything that the man said,
But with nothing to do he just went to bed.
When Jedd woke up he felt real fine,
It was dark gone half past 9,
He lit a candle too see in the dark,
This caused a chain reaction spark.
A whoosh , a flash and then a bang,
A sonic boom through the air it sang.
Jedd was blown out through the wall ,
On to the street he did fall.
The fire brigade came
the ambulance too
Sirens wailed woo woo woo .
The gasmen didnt need to search no more ,
\as a large plume of flame burned from his floor.
They got it fixed as teh time went past ,
Please dont light a match if you smell Gas
