Lightning in the Garden of the Gods 1, Colorado Springs, CO by

This is another lightning photograph taken in the Garden of the Gods, Colorado. The lightning storm was approaching from the south. It was spectacular and I had a blast shooting over 600 pictures just to try to capture 2 greats shots.

The lightning itself was so tiny (less than a pixel) in the back of the camera display that it wouldn’t even show up. I was depressed because I thought I wasn’t getting anything. To my surprise, after I downloaded the images into Bridge and previewed them, I was able to see the lightning.

I was sitting in the Denver airport as I downloaded the images when I started to see my pictures. The people around me thought I was a nut job because I was getting so excited. My wife just laughed and enjoyed the scene. Too funny!!!

Daylight is not the easiest time to catch it. You’ve done well.
