Into the sublime green depths I dove,
I took a leap from the highest of cliffs.
Risking everything, yet with an entire world to gain,
Oh, how little did I know?
For it was not merely a world that I gained, having been compelled to take this leap.
This world is but a simulacrum in comparison to the experience I therein encountered.
What I discovered in the beauty encircling her dilated pupils was something else altogether.
I was initiated into what it is to be oneself, through truly sharing with another.
I found profound peace and happiness.
Disclosed to me was an entirely foreign manner of being.
Reluctantly coming up for breath, my heart glowing, my soul afire, my smile beaming.
As my learning has continued, I now know that the presence of the palest of green iris is not a precondition to the continuation of this knowledge gained.
Their presence is certainly not a requisite for me to smile as if I were still immersed.
I must only imagine them; I nearly always smile.

Thank you, dear. It’s a damn good thing that I don’t have to remember to breathe; I’d be screwed. Now, in what sense are you calling me big headed, Ms. Baudrillard?
