Macro of a Peach Rose in Full Bloom: Hope You Enjoy by

I flipped when I saw this gorgeous rose this morning on my morning boot camp walk. Amazingly, I took one shot and it said, “Peace be with you, let me sleep.” Cool. A lovely shot for a lovely spirit. I’m the sky!

I came rather late to poetry and even later to photography. I have graduate degrees in philosophy. I realized sometime ago that nearly all of my work makes some sort of implicit argument, and it often makes rather esoteric references to philosophy. Sorry: not trying to be turgid. It’s what I know, and it what Pan whispers into my ear.

How gorgeous Rusty- that color looks so heady!

  • Thank you. Yes, I have never seen a rose quite that color: a rose or anything else, for that matter. I will soon be posting another Macro of an amazing rose that I ran into today. I have become enchanted with this technique.

When I see simple beauty of this design it gives me hope for the world…if that makes any sense. The colour is indeed peachy…has a somewhat “salmon” hue…even lovelier when viewed in large format. =)XO

  • Lisa, Your comment makes perfect sense and is a perfect representation of your beautiful spirit. You know what? You’re right, it’s more salmon than peach, or at least as much. Love, ME

lovely color and complexity – one thinks simple but the overlapping petals and how they curl and unfold is complex in design. ciao

  • Is it not amazing? And I can take not a bit of credit of any part of it, other than the contingency of having seen it and the fact that my camera has become something like another artificial appendage for me. Hey, whatever happened to Burt and Francine? Love, Rusty

I can see this being your heart.

  • What a beautiful comment, dear. Guess what? I could say the same thing to you with equal sincerity. You have shown the heart of a such strength that I am amazed. Love yourself with that heart, dear. Love, ME
