Love the way you are putting an almost modern spin on these landscapes with your special treatment… great series, really stays with your brain once you view them! And that’s impact!

First I thought: What a pretty picture ! Then I looked more closely and thought: _ Am I allowed to like something that could be bad?_ Still like the picture, particularly because of the colour and also the shape of the smoke.
Makes me think of smelling the bush and distant bushfires when driving north or west from Sydney, during the summer holidays. (Thanks for your comment on my schooldays ).

Lindsey, I love this photograph because the plumb of smoke resembles some sort of beautiful giant monster, the smoke and fire comes alive, the photograph graphically describes an event and it is also beautifully colored. We don’t get bush fires in California, we have giantic forest fires that burn hundreds of acres. I’d rather see something like this. Great capture, dear.

I figured out what I’m seeing. The plumb of smoke reminds me of the Genie in the bottle, the color purple and all, not a monster at all, more like the Aladdin’s Lamp story. The Genie is alive. I’m really impressed with this capture.
