mate – too sensational for words… it’s all about the position of the figures for me… like some distant calling has united one single moment… love your touch of the surreal to a quintessential Australian moment…. OUTSTANDING WORK! You are a genius artist!
so good Lindsay…just could look at this literally all day. Perfect composition, lovely variety of scale of the human figures, and the reflection off the beach is just brilliant.
$^x%x !!! that’s where i grew up…. seventeen years spent surfing that beach…. when were you there….? great shot looking down towards the bays at coolum… love the way you’ve processed it…..! has a really nice washed out smooth plastic feel…
I too like how you have captured all those different figures…kind of coming together for one moment in time….great shot…although after reading through all your comments, I think you could post a photo of a white dot and ppl would be able to see the artistry behind it :) Keep up the great work!
Glad i’m not the only one coming back to this image… it just demands your attention… the perfect horizontal axis makes it for me and the way the figures bounce off it… has incredible design appeal… and i think that’s where the magic starts with this image, in the design… and the final, ‘plastic’ look as Meanderthal describes it is so aplty put. Great piece… indeed!

What an unusual beach scene. I am so tired of all the usual ‘takes’. This is so original, and the reflections are incredible.
