Nice one Lindsay… love the lighting! Intriguing!

The drama, the exquisite lighting, the colour balance… where do you start with an image of this calibre… a defining moment in pure artsitic quality… I mean look at the light on the face, it’s almost illustrative and has many highlights within itself…. the brooding figure in the back seat with the external reflection. Mate, you gotta be so proud of this image… sheer perfection for me Love the midtones! You are on to something very special here…. – Love, love, love it to death!
Paul Vanzella
Yes, I’m back again… you’ve nailed the tones in this image so well… and the character portrayal is so solid…. the balance of light and shade is so perfect…. not sure if you had a crew of people helping to achieve this amazing result, and if you were on your own… the end result is even more so amazing!
Bruce Watson
Very nicely constructed. Reminds me of some of the photographic work done by the English Hipgnosis studio (for many high profile rock bands) – where the scenes are dramatically lit, enigmatic and hint at a compelling story. Great work.
James Pierce
I’m coming back to this over and over and over – you’re work has taken a really interesting and new direction lately.
Leese

I’ve ‘visited’ this image, let me think… 20 billion times since you uploaded it. You keep raising the bar Mr Blamey. There is a David Lynch meets Jack Vettriano feel to this. You have two characters, titled as having a conversation. Strangely, one is in the backseat and one in the front. The emotions are highly ambiguous. It could be danger, or sarcasm or mediocrity. The relationship between the characters is a whole story it itself. The light and use of reflection looks brilliant. This car is a whole world of its own. Yet that menacing sky outside makes you wonder where they are and where they are headed. You have become the master of creating a story outside an image. A standing ovation to you sir!

I needed to come back and add something to my earlier comment. I love how this series fits together like the pieces of a jigsaw to create a broader idea of you as an artist and not just as a collection of awesome work. Rather than each of your works being entirely separate entities, you have a very cohesive theme and set of ideas which are constantly building on one another to great affect. I am noticing a very distinct Lindsay Blamey style now which hits me in the face from the thumbnail. As such it’s more difficult to say what I like about a particular image but I find more and more compliments about you as an artist in general. You have a huge fan right here. Keep it coming.
Ian James
greta shot the lighting is brilliant was it just the light from the cars interior lamp or was there an additional lamp in the car….

I don’t know how you do it. I am not usually lost for words… I think you’ve mastered it.. not only with this one, but each shot on your folio is perfect.. funny how it almost makes it harder to write you a comment. you feel the effort that has gone into reaching such quality and you want to take the time to actually take it all in.
what an incredible expression this picture that is almost unreal
