Mistakenly Me
A short and simple poem, written in 2006, during my “finding myself” stage.
To and Fro,
Paces mindless in me;
Shaking and fretting,
Trying to be:
At peace,
Yet disgruntled.
Disputing this plight.
Joyful,
Yet saddened.
Unarmed for a fight.
Do you see?
What this is,
Fused duplicity…
Neither lost:
Nor been found…
Simply
Mistakenly Me.
