She is all grown up in this shot. Actually, she is a senior now at the age of four. She was reeeallly tiny when she was a baby. Thank you for peeking in! =)
Hi there! I just started here at RB and look who I see…my favorite little hedgehog ever…Daisy Mae! I had to come and make sure it was you…and to say hello!
Oh what a sweet little thing Leena. I used to own one as a pet when I was a little boy. I still love Hedgehogs to this day. Too bad they are on the verge of extinction in Malta due to carless drivers and the destruction of their habitat. Excellent picture Leena and thanks for bringing back the memories of my childhood days.
Hi Leena….I dont really think I ever gave him any particular name. AllI remember was that I found him in a field when he was just a baby with hardly any spines on him. His mother must have carried him outside the burrow while still attached to her teats. I fed him milk through a bottle till he was old enough for solid food. When he was big enough to fend for himself (after the first Winter) I set him free in Spring near enough the place where I had found him.
“(Anthony Vella) said Too bad they are on the verge of extinction in Malta due to carless drivers and the destruction of their habitat.” .. Isn’t this a shame. I had no idea. Such a gorgeous little animal and a lovely shot … manKIND? harrumpff.
