Where abouts is this Leena, somewhere in the USA I am guessing?

This is actually taken in the north-east part of Finland in early June. It is just before midnight, and the sun is in it’s lowest point. A couple weeks after, the sun would not go even this low. The lake is Lake Kivesjarvi. My in-laws have a summer cabin right on it. There is lots of wildlife including nesting swans.

Yes, 40 thousand lakes and 10 thousand little islands along the coasts. The nature is lush, vast and gentle. =)

I’ll be going there again in a few weeks, can’t wait to count how many wild swans we have nesting there this year, and go skinnydippin’ at midnight. Love the solitude of the place. (My inlaws have a cabin on it) =)
